How long have you been Upcycling/Refashioning/Recreating Clothing from thrifted textiles?

As long as I remember. Growing up in the "Eastern Block" it was a necessity more than a hobby.

 

How long have you been sewing?

As long as I remember. My mom taught me.

How and why did you get started in Upcycling/Refashioning?

I am happy to save fabric from the landfills and create unique pieces. I do not support fast clothing industry.

Why do you Upcycle/Refashion/Recreate clothing from thrifted textiles?

I can create unique items. Having pile of thrifted clothes feels like blank canvas for a painter, I can truly express myself.

 

What type of clothing do you like to create and why?

I look at fabric and then decide what i want to make. i do not have favorite type of clothing. Anything goes, depends how I feel at the moment.

What is your favorite textile to Upcycle/Refashion/Recreate from? and why?

Sky is a limit. I look for color combinations and put pieces of fabric together like pieces of puzzle.

What was your favorite project?

I love all of my projects equally.
